Anthony, now 25, was brought up with computers. His father, a former developer for AT&T, taught Anthony how to program from a very early age (some accounts are as early 4 years old). He decided to take a break from computers after high school and studied mathematics in college. He has a diverse background including a private pilot's license, EMT, and is a state-certified firefighter. He now is a professional PHP developer who believes in the power of open source and community involvement.
Born in 1967 in the Netherlands and currently living in Wijhe, Wilco started assembler programming as twelve year old whiz kid on a Tandy TRS 80. After years of being a programmer, then being a project manager, he finally became an IT manager. Wilco discovered Mambo when he was creating his own content management system and never lost focus after. He joined the Core Team as the Development Coordinator in September 2006 just to help make Joomla even better than it already is.
Mateusz 25, of Poland, says he is a confirmed Joomla! neophyte "love at first sight!" He is an undergraduate in Computer Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland. Mat is interested in web development and 2D and 3D graphics. He's currently researching faces and iris detection software and learning OpenGL. Mat wants to have a career in web and/or game programming. He loves science-fiction and fantasy books.
Born in 1969, Robin discovered the world of computers and internet in 1997. Building websites got to be a hobby and this is how he discovered Mambo/Joomla in October 2003. Two years later he joins the Core Development Team as member of the Stability Team. The appointment of Robin, who is a Change Management expert, will further the Joomla Project's future by creating the best releases possible for the greater community.
