Born in 1979, Ken grew up in a small town north of Kansas City, Missouri. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Northwest Missouri State University in 2002.

Although Ken first discovered Mambo in 2003, he did not start using it extensively until early 2005. Since then, he has been working as a Senior Software Engineer at BIGSHOT, a full-service marketing and advertising agency located in Kansas City, Missouri. Prior to BIGSHOT, his experience includes places like Sprint and Hallmark.com.

Ken is currently writing a book for O'Reilly titled Using Joomla. It is due out at the end of the year.

Ric, 30, of Kent, United Kingdom, is an IT manager and discovered Mambo in 2003 while looking for a corporate CMS. He now spends his time coding Open Source systems for companies that don't have large IT budgets. He says he is constantly in search of elegant solutions to coding problems, lives in the Object Orientated camp of coding and loves a good framework, Joomla! being his framework of choice. This comes from his corporate Java background which was soon dropped when PHP5 hit the servers. Apart from computers, he's worked as an illustrator designing collectibles such as Noddy and Thunderbirds and in the film and television industry as a CGI artist on several Hollywood projects and a handful of low budget satellite channels.

Ian joined the Joomla Project shortly after startup in 2005 and volunteered to work with the Developer Documentation project.  Since then, he has become more involved with the project and has served in various roles, including GSoC mentor and administrator, developer documentation team leader, Joomla Bug Squad coordinator and Development Working Group Member.

He looks forward to the future as the Joomla community works together to further the goal of being a flexible platform for digital publishing and collaboration.

Anthony, now 25, was brought up with computers. His father, a former developer for AT&T, taught Anthony how to program from a very early age (some accounts are as early 4 years old). He decided to take a break from computers after high school and studied mathematics in college. He has a diverse background including a private pilot's license, EMT, and is a state-certified firefighter. He now is a professional PHP developer who believes in the power of open source and community involvement.

David, 57, is an organisational consultant and holds a Degree in Computer Science. His first computer was a Commodore 64 and he recalls connecting to Compuserve with a 300 baud modem. In his spare time he coaches in teenage leadership. David is also active on the Joomla! Hebrew forums.

Ole, 41 of Hiller?d, Denmark, works professionally as a Joomla! solutions provider since 2004. He joined Joomla at the project birth in 2005 and voluntered to help moderate the International forums and became local Danish Translation Coordinator. Was invited to help build the Joomla! Extensions Directory in late 2005, and enjoyed the many hours of serious work and fun at the JED Editorial Team until he retired in early 2008. He joined the Core Team in 2007 when invited to take on the position as Joomla! Translation Coordinator. Since then he has been very pleased to see the strength of a community driven project like joomla!, especially when a selfmanaged Translation Coordination Team succeeded in implimenting a new Translation Policy in autumn 2008.

In a Leading role of Internationalization, Localization and Translation Ole expects to see Joomla! create new subteams and resources so that Joomla! can be available to anyone - nomatter which language they may speak.

Odkrył Mambo w połowie 2003 szukając czegoś do uruchomienia witryny związku sportowego. Zakochał się i rozpoczął naukę php i mysql a potem zaczął opracowywać małe moduły. Zaproszony do zespołu deweloperów w 2004. Nie pracuje w branży IT, raczej w Sportcie i Rekreacji. Aktualnie menedżer administracji filipińskiego zjednoczenia rugby (PRFU). Oficjalną edukację przeszedł w specjalności Ekonomi, Sport i Rekreacja, Administracja. Open Source otworzył nowe horyzonty i przyniósł nowych przyjaciół. Wolne Oprogramowanie jest ważne, bo pomaga innym.

Born in 1967 in the Netherlands and currently living in Wijhe, Wilco started assembler programming as twelve year old whiz kid on a Tandy TRS 80. After years of being a programmer, then being a project manager, he finally became an IT manager. Wilco discovered Mambo when he was creating his own content management system and never lost focus after. He joined the Core Team as the Development Coordinator in September 2006 just to help make Joomla even better than it already is.
